Review

Xilisoft AVI MPEG Converter is a video converter that converts to MPEG and AVI. Those are the two output formats supported by this application. However, most other formats are supported as input files. For example, you can convert Windows Media Video files to .AVI or MPEG. You can also convert .AVI files to .MPEG and viceversa. There are many uses for this application that I can think of. It would be especially useful for converting WMV files, since there aren't a lot of good converters out there. Or you can convert your .AVI files to MPEG to make them VCD's or SVCD's. On another note, the graphical user interface is exactly the same as other Xilisoft converters, which isn't bad, but could be better. The application supports batch-mode processing, so that you can convert multiple files in a single operation. You can pause and stop the conversion process at any time. You are also given multithreading capabilities, which will speed up the process if you have a multiple-core processor. The conversion speed is said to have increased in a 200%.
